Akpo Lawyers Forum (ALF) of Akpo Town in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State has elected officers to pilot their affairs for the next three years.
The officers include: Mr. Jude I. Ogamba as Chairman and Mrs Amaka Ezeno as Alternate Chairman.
Mr. Emeka Nwaeze was elected secretary while Francesca Dimukeje will serve as the financial secretary. Prof Nkechi Okpalaobi is treasurer and John Austin Unachukwu will serve as the publicity/social officer.
Members of the exco were inaugurated immediately by the leader of the forum, Mr. Chukwudi Larry Dim.
In his acceptance speech, Ogamba thanked the forum for the honour done to the pioneer executives of the association by giving them the privilege to serve their town.
It was a great privilege, he said, “to be chosen by one’s professional group to serve them and provide leadership.”
Ogamba assured that the leadership would do its best to improve the welfare of members, Akpo community and Nigeria.
He called on members of his exco “to be up and doing” in order to discharge the mandate of the group.
