144 male and female offenders were arrested over the weekend for engaging in the looting and demolition of the Ilorin Airport Freight depot, Kwara Agro Mall and Kwara Mall, generally referred to as Shoprite.
Hoodlums in some states used the opportunity to vandalize and rob both public and private enterprises in the aftermath of the crisis that erupted after the EndSARS rally.
The Kwara state police command paraded 144 of the alleged looters on Monday, October 26, with many stolen items seized from them.
During the parade of the suspects, State Police Commissioner Kayode Egbetokun thanked the good citizens of Kwara State for cooperating with the Command in their efforts to apprehend the suspects and recover the stolen objects.
He urged those criminals who had yet to return all of the missing goods to do so and to stop being traced and detained.
Egbetokun said that the paraded criminals would be taken to justice shortly.
