Former minister, Jubril Martins Kuye dies at 78

Former Minister of Trade and Investment. Senator Jubril Martins-Kuye,  has died aged 78.

Although it is not yet clear the cause of his death, the Aare Musulumi of Ogun State, Asiwaju of Ago Iwoye, and Otunba Fesogboye of Ijebu land died Sunday morning.

Born on 16th August 1942 in Ago Iwoye, Ijebu constituency of Ogun State, he has a brother (Muraino Ademola Kuye). He studied Sociology at the University of Ibadan (1965-1968) and then Economics at the Harvard University Business School, graduating in 1983. He gained qualifications as a Chartered Accountant.

Jubril Martins-Kuye was appointed Nigerian minister of Commerce and Industry on 6th April 2010, when Acting President Goodluck Jonathan announced his new cabinet.

He was well loved by all and sundry and no doubt, left an indelible footprints on the sands of time.
